Hi, I’m Cody

I’m an engineering manager and software engineer based in Reno, NV.

I spend my days at SendCutSend, a custom metal fabrication company that makes precision cutting and machining accessible online. I lead development on the core platform, which connects customers, orders, and the machines on the shop floor. It has been so refreshing to work on software the results in a physical product. Watching our customers create amazing things might be the most rewarding of all.

On the side, I’m building Mezetude, a tool that helps piano teachers run structured group lessons and gives students a better framework for how to practice. It started as a project to help my uncle get his piano studio off of an old program he’s been running in his classroom that only works on Windows XP machines. I’ve always loved music so this has been a continuous joy and stretches my brain in vastly different ways than my day job.

Outside of work, my wife and I spend a lot of time outdoors and exercising and are trying to foster a love of nature in our son. Lately, one of our favorite things to do is go to some nearby, maintained, mountain bike trails and cruise around with our son riding shotgun.
